Each asset — a tool, a machine, an apartment, an office or a hall — is an item with a name, a free-text category, a location, a stock quantity, a daily price and a deposit amount. The list shows whether it is available, in maintenance or retired.

A booking links an item to a customer for a start and an end date. The daily price and the deposit are copied from the item when you create it. A new booking starts as pending.
When you confirm a booking, the platform checks it against the stock you hold and against blocked periods. If the item is not free on those dates, or the dates are blocked, the confirmation is refused with a message.
Mark dates when an item, or everything, cannot be rented: maintenance, a holiday, a closed site. The calendar shows bookings for the next two weeks; blocked periods are listed on their own page.
